The WoundSens project was at the 2025 edition of The World Conference on Carbon in Saint-Malo (Brittany, France) from June 29th to July 4th, represented by the team from Institut Jean Lamour (IJL).
This international event was an ideal opportunity for scientists from academia and industry working with carbon materials to gather and exchange views on all aspects of this fascinating element.
Given the crucial role carbon plays in our WoundSens project, we couldn’t miss this important event!
IJL team member, Romain Chevigny, attended the conference and gave an oral presentation on his work preparing and functionalising new carbon nanomaterials with high electrical conductivity for our smart bandage.
The lecture titled “Graphite exfoliation in water medium using pulsed plasma and high-power ultrasonic treatments: Towards surface functionalisation in reactive media” sparked the audience’s curiosity and led to an engaging Q&A session.
It’s clear that the WoundSens initiative is capturing attention wherever it goes!
