The development of a smart bandage for the continuous monitoring of chronic wounds is progressing successfully within the framework of the European Pathfinder Project WoundSens.
In May, EvoEnzyme traveled to NMI’s facilities in order to discuss the status of the project. During this encounter, the three partners reviewed all the results obtained so far and, based on them, jointly planned the next steps to ensure that the project continues to advance appropriately.
More specifically, EvoEnzyme presented their progress in enzyme engineering and planned the utilization of the enzyme with NMI. Also, Das Institut Jean Lamour (IJL) presented their work with carbon materials. In addition, NMI reported on their interviews with potential users and manufacturers, their progress in electrospinning the materials and gave an outlook on the upcoming sensor development.
Thanks to the NMI for their great organization! We continue advancing with great enthusiasm to achieve this innovative solution betting on improving the quality of life of these patients and the health care system.
