The plastic coating on today’s fertilisers stays in the soil. This week, we started changing that.
The RELEASAFE project officially kicked off on 1 September, and this week the ten partners met for the first time at Aitiip’s facilities in Zaragoza, with Michele G., Project Officer at the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU), among the attendees.
Our goal: replace petroleum-derived plastic coatings with lignin, starch, PHA and wood — materials able to release nutrients at the right time and fully biodegrade in the soil.
EvoEnzyme is proud to be part of this consortium of 10 organisations from 5 countries, coordinated by Aitiip Centro Tecnológico, alongside Rodenburg Tony Starch, LANDLAB, HOLOSS, Leitat Technological Center, Van Iperen International, CENER, AUSTRALO and Tecnopackaging.
We are excited to get started.
The RELEASAFE project is funded by the European Union under the Horizon Europe programme, through the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU), grant agreement No 101291202.
